"Parents and Kids" and Boston Herald cite The Mindful Parent
The July Issue of Parents and Kids" a Needham, Massachusettes publication, presented "In a moment: The practice of 'mindful parenting,'" a wonderful article by Katherine Waters-Clark. In her piece, which also ran in the Boston Herald, Ms. Waters-Clark wrote:

"Listed below are a few suggestions for beginning a more mindful parenting journey. Many ideas were gleaned from conversations with insightful parents. Others were inspired by the many informative books and Web sites available on the topic. Most notable were "Everyday Blessings: The Inner Life of Mindful Parenting" by Myla and Jon Kabat-Zinn, "The Five Love Languages of Children" by Gary Chapman and Rose Campbell, M.D. and The Mindful Parent Newsletter (www.themindfulparent.org) as well as other books and Web sites listed at the end of this article."

Her article then went on to cite an excerpt from The Mindful Parent website that: "Mindful parenting is 'a contemplative practice through which we become more mindful of our children.'"

We are excited to have been mentioned in this wonderful article. Because "Parents and Kids" has an Internet presence, links to ther website appared in the article and we received many visitors from the Massachusettes area. Many subscribed to the newsletter and contributed verses. We are blessed to have such a wonderful broadening of our mindful parenting community.

South Florida Parenting cites The Mindful Parent
We were delighted to see mention of The Mindful Parent website and "The Morning Cup" column which provides daily mindful parenting tips in the August 2004 issue of "South Florida Parenting" magazine. In an editorial titled "Life in the moment," Managing Editor, Vicki McCash Brennan, wrote:

"There's a small but growing movement toward mindful parenting - and,
naturally there are several books and websites on the subject. The
Miami Beach-based website www.themindfulparent.org offers a daily
meditation to help parents focus on their children."

The Morning Cup column is published each morning on The Mindful Parent website. Archived copies of previous column can be found at TheMorningCup.info.
